急に涼しくなり、秋の気配が感じられるようになって来ましたが、皆様お変わりありませんか。
さて、恒例の日本庭園清掃ボランティア募集のお知らせです。
日本人会（JAGH)もHouston地区日系諸団体（JBAH, JASH, JACL, JAGH）の連合体であるJCCHのメンバーとして日本庭園の清掃に参加します。
日時： 一回目 10月22日（土） 午前9時から12時
二回目 11月13日（日） 午前9時から12時
場所： Hermann Park日本庭園
作業内容： 落ち葉集め、枯れ枝の除去等の清掃作業を公園関係者の指示に基づいて行います。
清掃道具等は公園のものを使いますが軍手、マスク等が必要な方はご持参下さい。
ボランテイアご希望の方はお手数ですがお名前とご希望日を 10月13日までに松村博夫宛にお知らせ下さい。（日本人会としてまとめて10月14日に報告します。）
なお、参加希望者が多い場合にはお断りする事もありますのでお早めにお申込み下さい。

Subject: Japanese Garden Volunteer Project
Dear JCCH Members,
As we have done in the past it comes time for Japanese Garden
Volunteer Project this fall. As Mr. Minami who is on Advisory Board
for Japanese Garden kindly discussed the project with Hermann Park
Conservancy, we are advised and requested to do the project on
the following two dates.
October 22 (Sat) 9:00am – Noon
November 13 (Sun) 9:00am – Noon
This year over 15000 trees are damaged in the city parks including
Hermann Park due to the record-breaking drought, so our voluntary
work is very timely and much appreciated by the City.
The voluntary work will include clean-up trails in the park, covering
tree roots with pine tree leaves, removal of dead tree branches and
so on. There are city park supervisors who will give specific
instructions at site. The number of volunteers will be expected
from 15 to 20 each date, and may be limited once it reaches the numbers.
Please announce in each organization(JBAH/JAGH/JASH/JACL)
and ask for volunteers.
If each organization wraps up the numbers of participants, and
reports to me by Oct 14(Fri) it is appreciated.
